Jerry Tabor's Charity House
Jerry L. Tabor Building Inc. has generously donated
the proceeds of the sale of a house he built to benefit Mercy
Foundation's Children's Healthcare programs.
Tabor, a local builder, built the Charity House
for the purpose of donating the proceeds to benefit children in
the community. In addition, Douglas County realtor, Ben Tatone,
along with members of the Umpqua Valley Home Builders Association,*
played key roles in the Charity House, helping out with the construction,
as well as the sale of the house.
A ceremonial check presentation has been set for
Tuesday, April 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the Charity House, which is located
at 1726 NE Shale Court in Roseburg.
Mercy's CEO, Kelly C. Morgan; Mercy's board chair,
Brian Pargeter; Mercy Foundation's board chair, Gary Wayman and
Mercy Foundation President, Lisa Platt, will be on hand to accept
the check from Mr. Tabor. The new owners have also been invited.
