DOUGLAS COUNTY:  Local police and firefighters will be out collecting tips for the Mercy Foundation next Wednesday at local restaurants, where they hope to glean cash for children’s programs served by the Foundation.

They will be out at the following restaurants from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 20:

D’s Magnolia, 647 S.E. Jackson St., Roseburg

Alexander’s Greek Cuisine, 214 S.E. Jackson St., Roseburg

Anthony’s Italian Café, 500 S.E. Cass Ave., Roseburg

Carlos Restaurante, 101 S.E. Thompson Ave., Winston

Illahee Family Restaurant, 150 Wild Thyme Lane, Glide

Pedotti’s Italian Restaurant, 1332 W. Central Ave., Sutherlin

The Mark V Bar & Grill, 563 S.E. Main St., Roseburg

Rodeo Steak House & Grill, 1200 N.W. Garden Valley Blvd., Roseburg
