Mercy House Transitions to New Organization
Community Invited to Dedication and Open House
Jan. 31, 2008
On Thursday, Feb. 7, at 3:30 p.m., the Jacquetta
Taylor House (formerly Mercy House) will hold a community dedication
and open house.
Mercy Medical Center transitioned ownership of
Mercy House (renamed Jacquetta Taylor House) to local business
owners Rance and Deloris Akers. The Akers, who own and operate
Roseburg's Package Depot and Pacific Rubber Stamp, have a strong
desire and commitment to continue the mission of Mercy House.
They have successfully operated local businesses, have numerous
connections in the community, and are caring and compassionate
people.
Jacquetta Taylor House is a 5-bed hospice home,
established to assist patients who are coping with terminal
illness and the process of death, grief and bereavement.
All are welcome to attend the dedication and open
house on Feb. 7 at 3:30 p.m. Jacquetta Taylor House is located
at 3035 Laurel Springs Drive (off Newton Creek Road). For more
information, please call Mercy Foundation at 677-4818.
