Mercy Foundation Awards Community Tree Funds

ROSEBURG — Money raised from the sale of the Community Tree during Mercy Foundation’s Festival of Trees is being given to the Family Development Center.

The Festival of Trees fundraiser supports several foundation programs, however, organizers decided the proceeds from the Community Tree would go to another charity of the buyers’ choice.

The Fox Den Restaurants and Umpqua Bank were the buyers of the Community Tree and chose to have the funds directed to the Family Development Center.

A $15,000 check will be presented to the center at 4 p.m., Jan. 24 at the Family Development Center, 300 Jerry’s Drive.
