Riddle Elementary Earns Radio
Disney Assembly on Sept. 23
"Health Smart Jungle Jams"
Through a partnership with Mercy Foundation's Healthy Kids
Outreach Program, the OSU extension office Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) education program, and
the Riddle Elementary teachers, Riddle Elementary school
has earned a Radio Disney assembly entitled "Health
Smart Jungle Jams."
The Radio Disney assembly was held on Thursday, Sept. 23
at 10 a.m. at Riddle Elementary.
Mercy Foundation's Healthy Kids Outreach Program (HKOP)
nurses, working with the OSU extension office, delivers
information about the SNAP program to elementary schools
throughout south Douglas County. SNAP is designed to empower
kids to eat smart and play hard.
HKOP has served Douglas County children since 2006, providing
health education, health resource connection and direct
medical services at schools.
