About the Foundation

Since its creation in 1973, Mercy Foundation has developed strong community partnerships to financially assist Mercy Medical Center in its vision to improve the health, well-being, and quality of life for families and children. Foundation funding helps develop programs, technology, and facilities, allowing the organization to grow in its ability to enrich the lives of Douglas County residents today and into the future.

In addition, Mercy Foundation has created a number of funds to support the community, including the Children's Healthcare Fund, created to meet the unmet healthcare needs of children with limited or no financial resources; The Learning Child Program, providing disadvantaged students with backpacks full of school supplies and a new pair of shoes; The Tree of Hope, providing financial assistance to Douglas County agencies that provide outreach programs for the health and well being of disadvantaged families and their children; and Partner Funds, allowing a donor to enter a long-term, advisory relationship with Mercy Foundation.
